Epic Games is buying arcade racing studio Horizon Chase to create Fortnite content
Epic Games announced the acquisition of Brazilian-based Aquiris Game Studio, known for Wonderbox: The Adventure Maker, Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem and Horizon Chase Racing Arcade Dilogy. Remember April 2022 Epic Games has reached an agreement with Aquiris to release several unannounced games across multiple platforms. Absorption is a consequence of this investment.
The Aquiris team will be the backbone of Epic Games Brasil, the first Epic studio in Latin America. The team will create “Breakthrough Content and Social Opportunities” within Fortnite.
“We look forward to using our experience with Unreal Engine to create games that contribute to the future of Fortnite.”— assured the CEO of Aquiris and now the head of Epic Games Brasil Maurizio Longoni (Mauricio Longoni).
Aquiris was founded in 2007 and is based in the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre. Longoni hopes that joining Epic Games will allow the studio to draw industry attention to developers from its region.
