Estimated PS5 Pro specs leaked
The RedGamingTech YouTube channel has posted footage of the PlayStation 5 Pro revealing that Sony's supposedly more powerful version of the console will get a huge performance boost over the original model.
The console should be able to render games smoothly in 4K with ray tracing enabled.
Here are the estimated PS5 Pro specs:
8 cores Zen 4
30 WGP RDNA 3 or 3.5 (may not all be active)
16 GDDR6 memory modules and optional GDDR5 memory
Significantly higher CPU and GPU clock speeds (probably over 3.6 GHz for CPU and over 2.7 GHz for GPU)
Improved SSD (details unknown; possibly faster memory or higher capacity)
96 ROPS (Render Output Units)
TSMC 5 nm or 4 nm (more likely 5 nm).
According to the blogger, Sony is betting on its own Zen 4 octa-core processor based on the RDNA 3 or RDNA 3.5 architecture, which can be created using TSMC's 5nm or even 4nm process technology. The processor and graphics chip are both expected to get higher clock speeds, although the details are still unclear. The APU can contain 96 Render Output Units, which is 50% more than the base PS5. RedGamingTech estimates that the PS5 Pro will perform at 23.04 teraflops (PS5 at 10.28 teraflops).
It is still difficult to verify the authenticity of the messages. But in recent weeks, a lot of leaks have appeared on the network. Looks like Sony is really up to something.
