No Rest for the Wicked received such major performance improvements that the developers lowered the game's system requirements
Austrian Moon Studios (Ori duology) continues to refine the fantasy role-playing action game No Rest for the Wicked, which is in early access, with elements of Dark Souls and Diablo. Recently the first major patch was released for the game .
Timed to coincide with No Rest for the Wicked's second week of Early Access, the update brings with it a number of highly requested changes, as well as significant performance improvements.
In particular, players now have access to reconfiguring keyboard and mouse controls, resources from storage during trading and crafting, and an increased number of slots in all chests and cabinets (for storing things).
* The patch added one more home and four sets of third-level armor, as well as the opportunity to get your first home a little earlier
As for performance, the developers have improved the use of the central processor and video card, especially when moving, loading and unloading content, as well as exploring “heavy” locations.
The improvements were so significant that they led to a reduction in the recommended requirements for the game: RTX 2060 (instead of RTX 3070 Ti) and Radeon RX 5600 XT (RX 6800 XT), i7-11700K (i5-12600K) and Ryzen 7 5800X (Ryzen 7 5800X3D).
Among other things, the patch includes balance adjustments (including enemies and bosses), almost fifty bug fixes, improved NPC portraits, and localization edits. Additionally, archery now requires stamina rather than concentration.
