Elon Musk held two live broadcasts about Diablo IV in X – with varying degrees of success
End of September: X owner Elon Musk promised arranged a live broadcast of Blizzard Entertainment’s role-playing action game Diablo IV on social networks and kept its word in early October.
The streaming function in X (formerly Twitter) is still in the testing stage – Musk himself has made it his mission to test the new option in front of millions of viewers. The broadcasts had varying degrees of success.
In total, Musk conducted two streams – the first (52 minutes) took place on October 2nd on his account @cyb3rgam3r420 and the second (39 minutes) took place on October 3rd Main account Businessman. There are recordings of both on YouTube.
In the first broadcast (405,000 viewers), Musk led his level 100 druid into a nightmare level 69 dungeon and cleared it with ease. Most of the time was spent solving technical problems and talking about the hero’s characteristics.
During the second stream (4 million viewers), Musk entered a hundredth-level nightmare dungeon and also emerged victorious, although not without losses. His character, IWillNvrDie, ironically died four times.
Aside from the room’s controversial lighting, Musk’s first broadcast went well, but the second screen kept flickering and the streamer itself said it sounded like a chipmunk stream “the sound frequency increased by 4 kHz”.
X is still far from the functionality of Twitch or YouTube: At this point, broadcasts don’t even show live comments (only subscribers can leave them), so Musk had to be distracted from his smartphone.
