Denuvo was removed from Lies of P. The game was quickly picked up by pirates
At the end of last year, Lies of P was released - a retelling of the story of Pinocchio in the language of souls-like games. For months, hackers have been trying to do something with the protection system guarding the game. As it turned out, they shouldn't have bothered: the developers themselves ended DRM.
Last night, a patch was suddenly published to the title, which was removed from the game Denuvo. Users are sure that the program was removed from the action-RPG completely by accident - the new .exe-file in it was marked as a test, which, together with the lack of comments from Neowiz, led the audience to certain thoughts. However, a little later the authors released another revision, which turned LOP-Win64-Test into LOP-Win64-Shipping. Everything is probably going according to plan.
Anyway, the craftsmen quickly picked up the DRM-free game, and Lies of P quickly found itself on torrent sites. Recall that the official release took place in September - the pirates waited for the weather by the sea for almost 5 months.
