Louis Vuitton adds new NFTs as rewards to its mobile game
The most affordable Louis Vuitton branded items. Cheaper than fake bags from your local market.
French fashion giant Louis Vuitton is doubling down on an initiative to expand its presence in the NFT business. Recently, the company released the mobile app called Louis: the Game, and now it has added the new NFTs as rewards for the players.
Previously, the users could collect only NFT postcards depicting the brand history. And now Louis Vuitton had added new quests for the players. And, of course, new rewards – profile picture (PFP) NFTs.
Before I explain what these NFTs will look like, we need to understand how this app works. In Louis: the Game, you control Vivienne – the brand's mascot. As a player, you traverse various landscapes and try to collect postcards that function as an NFT. And learn about Louis Vuitton’s history, of course.
Now, the players that collected a certain amount of said postcards, can participate in an NFT raffle. They could win one of 10 new NFTs, depicting Vivienne in various looks. These pieces could be used across the platforms.
The new NFTs were made in collaboration with startup Wenew Labs. According to the company, the tokens from the first drop have already been sent to the new owners.
The raffle will run until 4 August. The chosen date is the day Louis Vuitton was born.
I wonder what would Mr. Vuitton himself say about this initiative. Would he encourage his company to enter the Metaverse?
